Sometimes I just can’t believe how things work out! I photographed this precious little lady as a newborn in North Carolina last February when she first arrived into her parents loving arms. Then the family moved back to Birmingham this winter (after we moved in the fall) and we were all reunited just in time to celebrate her first birthday with a portrait session! Okay, it was a little past her birthday, but we were waiting on things to warm up a bit.
Addison’s mommy and I were friends in college and little did we know that our lives would take us on such similar journeys out of state and back in again with new babies in tow. Mason and sweet Addi have quickly become great friends just like their mommies! I really love documenting this phase with all the fresh personality and independence. Addison was ready to show off all her new tricks and her adorable little humor. I love this sweet girl!!

This is a special little rocking chair made for mom by her grandfather. I’m so glad they brought it out for her one year portrait, things like this are such treasured details. SO sweet!! I think you can tell how much beautiful Addi girl is loved by her mom and dad. I love how I never have to ask parents to kiss their baby, it just happens naturally all throughout the session. I love seeing sweet moments like this!
