“The Consumer Guide for Custom Photography” is a great resource to learn more about what I do as a custom photographer. For years, the only option for child and family photography was going to a studio, choosing a backdrop, and having a few images to choose from in the end. I remember as a child my mom making many trips to a big chain studio with her girls in tow, one of us was usually crying and judging by these pictures from childhood, it seemed to always be me. As a custom photographer I strive to create a completely engaging and outright fun experience for your children and entire family. Not only will it help keep you sane during the process, but the resulting images are just that much better for it. No forced smiles or unnatural poses and backgrounds, but your children captured for who they really are in a beautiful setting. Because of the custom nature of these sessions, the time and resources that ultimately go into each session are drastically different from chain studios. This of course affects cost, but the old saying rings true “you get what you pay for”.
